Surgical Green’s Halsted Mosquito Forceps – Micro is a scissor-like device that surgeons in multiple fields use to grasp, mobilize and clamp bleeding vessels during wound closure, specialized surgery and other procedures.
- Straight & Curved Profiles to Suit Multiple Approaches.
- Transversely Serrated Jaws to Ensure a Firm Grip.
- Ergonomic Finger Rings Promoting Superior Handling.
Surgical Green’s Halsted Mosquito Forceps – Micro offers a wide assortment of advantages during surgery. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to compress arteries and veins, to block the blood flow during surgical procedures.
For this purpose, the Micro Mosquito Forceps features a pair of jaws with a tapered design to easily traverse narrow passages. In addition, the opposing surfaces of the jaws have serrations to obtain a strong but atraumatic grip. Also, the shafts’ elongated profile helps to reach deep surgical sites.
Moreover, the Halsted Mosquito Forceps – Micro features finger rings that reduce the risk of accidental slippage. Additionally, a ratchet mechanism between the rings permits the application of different levels of clamping pressure.
